Movie plot title: Howard the Duck Movie plot: Twenty-seven-year-old Howard the Duck lives on Duckworld, a planet similar to Earth, but inhabited by anthropomorphic ducks and orbited by twin moons. As he is reading the latest issue of Playduck magazine, his armchair begins to quake violently and propels him out of his apartment building and into outer space; Howard eventually lands on Earth, in Cleveland, Ohio. Upon arriving, Howard encounters a woman being attacked by thugs. He defeats them using a unique style of martial arts. After the thugs flee, the woman introduces herself as Beverly Switzler, and decides to take Howard to her apartment and let him spend the night. The following day, Beverly takes Howard to Phil Blumbertt, a scientist who Beverly hopes can help Howard return to his world. After Phil is revealed to be only a janitor, Howard resigns himself to life on Earth and rejects Beverly's aid. He soon applies for a job as a janitor at a local romance spa. Because of unfair treatment, Howard quits and rejoins Beverly, who plays in a band called Cherry Bomb. At the club where Cherry Bomb is performing, Howard comes across their manager, and confronts him when he insults the band. A fight breaks out, in which Howard is victorious. Howard rejoins Beverly backstage after the band's performance and accompanies her back to her apartment, where Beverly persuades him to be the band's new manager. The two begin to flirt, but soon after that they are interrupted by Blumburtt and two of his colleagues, who reveal that a dimensional-jumping device they were inventing was aimed at Howard's planet and transported him to Earth when it was activated. question:Question: I want to test the ability of students to read a passage and answer questions about it. Could you please come up with a good question for the passage "The Royal Navy is constructing two new larger STOVL aircraft carriers, the Queen Elizabeth class, to replace the three now retired Invincible-class carriers. The ships are HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales. They will be able to operate up to 40 aircraft on peace time operations with a tailored group of up to 50, and will have a displacement of 70,600 tonnes. HMS Queen Elizabeth is projected to commission in 2017 followed by Prince of Wales in about 2020. The ships are due to become operational starting in 2020. Their primary aircraft complement will be made up of F-35B Lightning IIs, and their ship's company will number around 680 with the total complement rising to about 1600 when the air group is embarked. The two ships will be the largest warships ever built for the Royal Navy."? Answer:
answer:Step 1: Identify the main points and key information in the passage. - Royal Navy constructing two new larger STOVL aircraft carriers (Queen Elizabeth class) - Replacing three retired Invincible-class carriers - Ships are HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales - Can operate up to 40 aircraft on peace time operations, up to 50 in a tailored group - Displacement of 70,600 tonnes - Commissioning years: 2017 for Queen Elizabeth, around 2020 for Prince of Wales - Operational starting in 2020 - Primary aircraft: F-35B Lightning IIs - Ship's company: 680, total complement rising to about 1600 with the air group embarked - Largest warships ever built for the Royal Navy Step 2: Create a question that asks about important details to test comprehension. Question: What is the approximate total complement of personnel for each of the Queen Elizabeth class carriers when their air group is embarked, and what is their primary aircraft?
question:My question is: Edmund is buying a new computer and needs to save up 75 before he has enough. He convinces his parents to pay him for extra chores. He normally has to do 12 chores a week. His parents agree to pay him 2 for every extra chore he does during the week. If he does 4 chores a day for two weeks, how much does he earn? Your thoughts:
answer:To find the answer, let's break it down step-by-step: 1. Determine the total number of chores Edmund does in two weeks. 2. Subtract the number of chores he is required to do without pay. 3. Calculate the total earnings for extra chores. 4. Verify if the earnings meet or exceed the 75 savings goal. Step 1: Find the total number of chores done in two weeks - Edmund does 4 chores a day. - There are 7 days in a week, so he does 4 chores/day * 7 days/week = 28 chores/week. - In two weeks, he does 28 chores/week * 2 weeks = 56 chores. Step 2: Subtract the number of unpaid chores - Edmund is required to do 12 chores a week without pay. - In two weeks, he has to do 12 chores/week * 2 weeks = 24 unpaid chores. - Out of the 56 total chores, we subtract the 24 unpaid chores: 56 chores - 20 4 chores = 32 extra chores. Step 3: Calculate the total earnings for extra chores - Edmund's parents agreed to pay 2 for each extra chore. - Therefore, he earns 32 extra chores * 2/chore = 64. Step 4: Verify if the earnings meet the 75 savings goal - Edmund earns 64 from doing extra chores over two weeks. - This is less than the 75 he needs for the computer. So, in conclusion, Edmund earns 64 after completing 4 chores a day for two weeks, which is not enough to meet his 75 savings goal for the new computer.
